Tobacco Free Northeast PA at Burn Prevention Network is funded by a grant from the PA Department of Health Tobacco Prevention and Control Program. Our Mission is to improve the quality of life in our communities by reducing tobacco use -- serving the counties of Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming.
Tobacco Treatment
Professional counselors provide individual counseling AND appropriate quit aids (FDA approved medications to ease withdrawal symptoms). Services are free and conveniently located or can be offered at worksites.
Prevention Programs
Power of 10 Teen advocacy program for teens ages, 15-18. Teens plan community events, help prevent underage tobacco sales through tobacco merchant enforcement, and provide peer education in schools and community organizations. PA’s 100% Tobacco Free Schools Toolkit Designed for school personnel—particularly SAP Teams and administrators—provides information on implementing effective policies and education programs to encourage a tobacco free school campus.
