The Power of Ten Year End Celebration

The Partnership for a Tobacco-Free Northeast PA celebrated with Power of Ten Youth Advocates on May 15, 2009 at a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees baseball game for a year full of wonderful activities and events.

The youth advocates, along with their advisors, were treated to a ballgame with refreshments and presented with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankee baseball caps and autographed baseballs. Seventy students plus advisors, teachers, parents and a school Superintendent attended. Prior to the start of the baseball game, a representative from each group gave a brief summary of participation in activities held during the year. Students in Lehigh, Northampton and Pike Counties received certificates of accomplishment for outstanding leadership.

Everyone had a great time, enjoyed good food, saw the Yankees win their ballgame, and oohed and aahed over the fireworks at the end of the game.
